Travemünde Woche
The Travemünder Woche is one of Europe's biggest sailing events. It annularly hosts about 2000 competitors on 700 boats from all over the world. Next to perfect sailing conditions it offers many social and public events. During the week there are about 1 million visitors in Travemünde.
Sailing Area
Lübeck Bay in front of Travemünde is one of the best sailing sites in Germany.
We are proud to host our European Championship 2018 here.
Racing will be close to the boat launching area.
Camping will be possible next to the boat park and directly at the beach.
The closest airport is Hamburg (HAM, 70 min by car).
Wind and Weather
In July sailing conditions are perfect. The average temperature is 20° C and the water is reasonably warm with 18° C.
The wind usually blows from north-west or north-east and has a strength of 2 to 5 Beaufort.
At our sailing area we expect no tides or strong currents.
